Beyond Two Souls Review - GamesReviews

From GamesReviews:
"If youre a PS3 gamer, then youve probably heard of Quantic Dreams previous title Heavy Rain. More story focused with simplistic gameplay, with a large portion of that being quick time events, people had mixed opinions on this style of game. It was criticized just as much as it was praised for its style of gameplay and its plot heavy nature, but how does Beyond: Two Souls compare?"

Gamepur: Naughty Dog and Quantic Dream, these are the two best first party developers of Sony (also we can say the most respected developers in today's time). Naughty Dog has already proven their metal with series like Uncharted and recently released masterpiece The Last of Us, whereas from Quantic Dream we have already received critically acclaimed, Heavy Rain.

| Ellen Page Isn't Suing Over Beyond: Two Souls Nudity
Added: 10.11.2013 4:42 | 31 views | 0 comments
Crisis averted, folks. Crisis averted. Ellen Page is not so pissed off about the nudity in Beyond: Two Souls that she would try to sue people over it after Sony failed miserably at censoring and keeping images, videos and articles off the internet gaming communities that proudly boasted such material.

"Beyond: Two Souls simply wasn't a game that I enjoyed playing nearly as much as I had hoped. For all Jodie's capability, she simply gets knocked unconscious anytime the plot demands it; for all of Aiden's intrigue, his inconsistency in aiding Jodie when she needs him most was infuriating. These brute-force tactics in moving ahead the otherwise compelling story at all costs simply took me out of the narrative, rather than captivating me. In the end, Beyond: Two Souls never felt like it lived up to its own hype or potential."

Push Square: "November is finally here, the month in which Sony's next generation console is set to be unleashed in North America and Europe. The anticipation is becoming almost unbearable, but PlayStation's promising future hasn't stopped us from glancing back into its past to decide upon which of October's releases deserves our coveted Game of the Month accolade."

Beyond: Two Souls revolves around Jodie Holmes (Ellen Page) a girl whos born with an inexplicable connection to the soul of a boy named Aiden. The two are tethered between worlds, making them completely inseparable, and although Aiden himself is ethereal and invisible to the human eye, he and Jodie converse freely which puts Jodie in the very awkward position of constantly talking to herself. Because of her special abilities Jodie ends up being raised under government care by Nathan Dawkins, whos played by William Dafoe. Both actors do a stellar job, especially given how goofy some of the games dialogue can be, but two performers alone can only do so much to fix a messy narrative.
